Building regulations demand ever increasing levels of air tightness in new homes, to help reduce energy and improve comfort and well-being. When mechanical ventilation heat recovery (MVHR) systems are installed and correctly commissioned they can prevent mould, condensation and odours whilst providing a constant supply of fresh air.

All heat recovery systems need regular filter changes or cleaning and re-calibrating to ensure they work effectively and to ensure running costs are kept to a minimum.

About Heat Recovery & MVHR Systems

Mechanical Ventilation and Heat Recovery Systems (MVHR) are a proven low-energy and highly efficient ventilation method of whole home ventilation for properties.

The systems work by combining supply and extract in one central unit. Moisture-laden, stale air is extracted from wet areas, such as kitchens and bathrooms via internal ducting. The heat from this stale air is recovered via a heat exchange, and this tempered air delivered into the living areas of the home.
